The makers of Yik Yak have faced scrutiny over the app, as many students have used it in inappropriate ways.
The founders of the app recently admitted it has been used in ways it wasn’t intended – and they worked to reduce the problem with a “geofence.”
Basically, you can get a geofence installed that will block Yik Yak users from posting within a five-mile radius of your school.
